As the second installment of this series, Kapha dosha plays an integral role in maintaining physical structure through our bones, joints and tendons. It is also responsible for immunity! Kapha is similar to pitta due to the fact that both have a 50% water constitution. Kapha-dominant individuals are stable and grounded. When out of balance, they can become quite lazy.

In order to avoid sluggishness, eat food that is natural and light such as salads or freshly-popped popcorn. Other helpful strategies include wearing loose fabric like cotton or listening to ENERGETIC music. Improper Kapha management could result in osteoporosis, osteoarthritis, muscular dystrophy and the like.
